I arranged the interview, wrote the piece, sourced the pictures, and did the layout as part of a magazine project for my postgraduate course. I also chatted with Mack about football for about an hour.

The American website have turned to my high-quality analysis on a number of occasions, covering anything from transfer rumours and tactical insight to controversial match reports.

The LA Times turned to my remarkable insight (I imagine) in the wake of USA’s performance in the final of the 2009 Confederations Cup. Nearly knocked news of Michael Jackson’s death off the front page.

Working at Bleacher Report has given me the opportunity to write about stories that mean a lot to me, and all can be found from the link above.  Some of the more popular pieces include this analysis of the infamous Black Power Salute (on which The Week subsequently quoted me) and the father of modern golf, Francis Ouimet.
